Like so many kids,  unfortunately, my daughter Susie experienced racially motivated bullying both in and out of school.  As a parent, it was very difficult to help her through this.  I wanted to intervene, but she insisted that the bullying would become worse for her if I did.  She kept a lot inside, only sharing some of the experiences with me as she got older.  It was truly heartbreaking.

Now that she is planning her college years and she has a better understanding of what she experienced, we wanted to do something that would help children who are going through a similar situation.  Bullying of any kind and for any reason is unacceptable, and we believe that the earlier we teach children this, the better.
